The Prowler II Big Game was designed for anglers looking for a high-capacity fishing kayak with ample storage, a stable, dry ride, and a comfortable seating system. This kayak appeals to both expert fishermen looking for more capacity and beginners looking for stability and a dry ride.
The term circle hook refers to a specific design for fishing hooks that causes them to appear circular in shape. Used primarily for live bait fishing, these hooks increase hooking percentages and also help to prevent gut hooking fish. When a strike occurs, the hook slides out of the fish’s throat. The barb does not penetrate until the hook reaches the corner of the mouth. At that point, the hook point pivots and sets for a safe, solid hookup. The primary thing to remember about circle hooks is that they do not require a standard hard, hook set. In fact, setting the hook in that manner will almost guarantee that a fish is lost. Instead, simply cranking down and applying steady pressure works best.
If you are fishing with another fisher around remember to keep your distance and don’t cast near where he/she is because the line can get tangled and they can get quite angry and frustrated. If you do make sure to apologize after and try not to do it again.
Poppers are small fishing lures used with spin-casting tackle. These fishing baits are very good for pan fish and other fish that feed on the surface such as trout and bass. Poppers get their action from a cupped face carved or molded into the front of the lure body.
To get your size, measure across the widest a part of the palm, above the thumb and under the little finger. That dimension is the dimensions you need (due to stretch, advice smaller instead of larger in case you are doubtful.
Talking about metallic lures, if the weather is going to be sunny and the water conditions are fairly clear, than a silver fishing lure is a good idea. The goal is to choose a fishing lure that stands out and attracts attention. The combination of reflection from the sun and clear water allows silver lures to flash in the water, making them visible from quite a distance. However, if the day is overcast or mostly cloudy, or if the water is darker and cloudy, then a gold fishing lure is the best bet. Gold has superior reflective abilities and can still be quite visible even in darker conditions.
Material – The most important aspect of what makes a fishing glove good, better or best is the kind of material it is made out of. As you will see with the reviews below, there are a variety of different materials which a glove can be made out of, which each offers their own benefits.
Expect reconfigured formulas, updated active ingredients and new processing in Berkley Gulp! baits this month, says John Prochnow, director of research and design. “Traditional soft-plastic lures use polyvinyl chloride, a synthetic plastic polymer material,” says Prochnow. “Berkley Gulp! is different in that it’s water-based and soluble; we’re able to add compounds and chemicals that attract fish. Gulp! is like a sponge, able to diffuse water and fish-attracting compounds in and out.”
These super heavy-duty hooks are thick-bodied to absorb jarring, short distance hook sets. The gap width determines which baits they’re best suited to. Narrow gaps excel on thinly bodied baits. Wide gaps excel on thickly bodied baits.
These gloves are 100% waterproof and best of all they are form-fitting. This means they fit tight to your hand helping the loss of dexterity that many fishermen complain about when fishing with gloves.
Movement – Detecting movement is one of the primary ways a fish hunts for its dinner. This is why lure fishing is so effective. In many instances, a fish recognizes its food simply by the way it moves. If you learn to make your lure dance just right, it will become irresistible to fish.

Jon got involved in the sport in the late 90s. He’s been involved in many facets of the sport; retail sales, outfitting, product development, guiding, author and lecturer. He has fished from over 75 different kayak models from Alaska to Baja to the Caribbean up to New England in both fresh and salt waters for 100 species of fish. He uses all methods (spin, conventional and fly tackle).
Players try to form sets of four-of-a-kind. When they do, four cards are immediately placed on the table face up. Play continues until all books have been made. The player who makes the most books wins.

Versatile: I tip jigs with virtually anything, from plastic twister tail grub bodies, to hair and feathers. Since I hunt, I have a lifetime supply of deer, elk and squirrel tails, and the feathers from a variety of game birds. Depending on the species of fish and circumstances, I can make just about any type of jig necessary. Part of the fun of fishing is catching something on a homemade lure!
The Go Fishing treasure chest is heavy. Sometimes you can pull it out with the common rod and some extra energy with overpower ability. However, most of the time you need an advanced rod to pull the chest.
Shrimp-lure companies remain tight-lipped about the details of their baits, although they will reveal general details of ingredients, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). They will also tell you how the soft baits work and why they catch fish, but I have my own essential techniques after fishing artificials for years. Shrimp basically move in three different ways: fleeing quickly backward, slowly swimming with the current or falling gently to rest on the bottom. Make sure whichever artificial shrimp you utilize successfully mimics one of these three natural movements. Too many anglers are lazy with their lure action or reel too quickly.
We asked select few of these regular game-sponsored in-group tournament hosting groups to come up with nice Spring (or Fall, for players in Southern hemisphere 🙂 ) special events and host the event on their groups, with some nice set …of prizes (game items) from the game for the winners!
Spinners are a great beginner lure because they are so easy to use. They are essentially a metal shaft with spinning blade. The hook can be bare or dressed. Dragging a spinner through water causes the blade to spin. The spinning motion of the blade creates sound and vibration that can be picked up by fish through their lateral line (you’ll learn more about this in the fish section.) This makes spinners an excellent choice for stained or murky water. [redirect url=’http://pitchalure.com/bump’ sec=’7′]
