It’s best to use lighter-colored lures on sunny days. These will have the best chance of reflecting the sun’s light and attracting fish. On cloudy days, you might think that it would be better to use even flashier lures, but this isn’t the case. It’s best to use darker colors like bold blues and reds in cloudy conditions. These deep colors are easier for fish to see.
I’ve seen the “Let’s Go Fishing” folks in action. Quite simply, they’re making a positive difference in people’s lives. They’re giving a group of people something to look forward to, they’re creating excitement and smiles, they’re injecting happiness into the lives of the people they touch. If more organizations had the mission and effectiveness of the “Let’s Go Fishing” folks, the world would be an even better place.
Many of the techniques used in kayak fishing are essentially the same as those used on other fishing boats. The difference is in the set-up, how each piece of equipment is fitted to the kayak, and how each activity is carried out on such a small craft.

One of the best features on this glove is that it is made out of a very durable 660- denier nylon shell. This shell is tough enough to face even the coldest days. It is also durable to last many ice fishing years to come.
Move the rod tip, causing the lure to move in place very gently, then remain still for another brief period. Repeat brief movement of the rod tip, moving the lure in place. The movements should look erratic and sinking, but easy to catch.
No matter if you are fishing in warmer environments, or in an ice cold environment, knowing what kind of material will work best for your fishing glove is an important factor. This may take some trial and error, so you can see which ones perform best within the area you fish the most. Hopefully, after doing some research, you’ll be able to narrow down to just a couple of different materials for you to try out, so you can find the one that works best for you quickly and easily.
Let the fish tell you what they want. Don’t stubbornly stick to a favorite lure or presentation even if it is not working. Fish can be very finicky, especially in highly pressured areas. Often they will respond to something they have not seen before when they are turning down regularly used lures.
Spoons are metal lures designed to mimic the action of a swimming baitfish or minnow. They’re one of the most popular of all fishing lures because they’re easy to use and are versatile. Depending on where and how you’re fishing, you’ll want the right spoon – casting, weedless (or topwater), jigging or trolling spoons. Different spoons have different actions. And there are a variety of colors depending on the type of water and species you’re fishing. Ask your tackle shop which ones you need.
Any professional anglers would want to get the best experience while fishing. To maximize your fishing experience you need to get the best fishing gears like fishing gloves, best fishing rod more. Fishing gloves are crucial if you are going for a fishing trip in winter or want to catch larger fish. A fishing glove allows you to grab the fishes easily and protects from any damage that may be caused while holding the fish.
In preparation for the event I was able to fish Clopper Lake for a couple of hours over the long 4th of July holiday weekend. I found that a floating Rapala fished along the shoreline like a top water bait, and not a jerk bait, produced decent numbers of fish in the 10-12 inch range. The plan was to get some fish this way and then switch to either a spinner bait or jig for some larger fish. To fish the Rapala like a top water I would cast the lure and then let it sit until all the ripples disappeared. Then I would give it a small twitch with the rod tip and again let the ripples disappear. This process was repeated 2-3 times. If this did not produce a fish, then I would fish the lure like a jerk bait.
As a general rule, you should use brighter baits on sunny days, and darker baits when the sky is cloudy or overcast. Water clarity and depth are also determining factors in your choice of lures. When fishing in clear deep lakes light penetrates much deeper and all colors are more visible than in stained or muddy water. Red shades are the first to become invisible to fish, with blues and greens showing up much better as water depth increases. A notable exception to this rule is the use of 2-toned soft plastic lures that feature a darker head color and a fluorescent white, pink or yellow tail color. Many anglers use soft plastic lures colored like this when fishing in cloudy weather.
For fishing, kayaks offer advantages over other boats. Consider their stealth in approaching fish; their extremely shallow draft to get through impossibly skinny water; and their light weight and small size, which allow them to be launched in areas far removed from boat ramps. In addition to those functional traits, kayaks offer anglers a sense of tranquility and connection with the environment that cannot be attained by rocketing across the water at 70 mph.
Some play a version in which a player asking for a card must say “please”, and a player receiving a card must say “thank you”. Anyone who forgets to do this must give back the requested card (if it has been handed over) and the turn passes to the player they were asking.
Two LiveTarget offerings effectively mimic shrimp. The Rigged Shrimp is all soft plastic; the aptly named Hybrid Shrimp has a hard lure body with soft lure elements for the legs. The Rigged Shrimp comes factory rigged with a hook and weighting system to create a horizontal fall, while the Hybrid Shrimp (pictured) performs more like a cast-and-retrieve lure.

One of the most effective (and one of the first plugs you should add to your tackle box) is the long, narrow minnow imitation in three to four inch length, the original is made by Rapala. It floats when its not moving and dives shallowly when it’s retrieved. Add a split ring to the eye if it doesn’t have one. Cast it out and wait until the rings on the surface of the water dissipate, then retrieve it slowly or fast, stopping suddenly and maybe throwing in an occasional twitch.
Color: Start out with a basic selection of black, white and chartreuse, and those colors will probably do the job. My favorite color on the Mississippi River was yellow. My top producer color on Oregon’s John Day River is motor oil or brown. Black and white are always contenders. Experiment in your area, and you’ll be able to dial in the local color preferences.
Pelagic – Pelagic has a couple of different levels of fishing gloves, which come in either a red or a blue color. These fingered gloves also have extra protection along the fingertips, as well as along the webbing between your pointing finger and your thumb. These are fitted gloves, and have a Velcro strap to ensure they stay on tight with each wear. These heavy duty gloves are perfect for when you are fishing for bigger fish, as they will provide you with the right amount of grip needed to bring each fish into your boat, so you can enjoy later. The heavy dutiness of these gloves derives from a Kevlar material, to help protect your hands from blisters and line cuts.
These pair of ice fishing gloves are made from a Yamamoto Neoprene material. Yamamoto Neoprene is designed to have a higher resistance to water and doesn’t break down as fast as neoprene. The type and size of lure is generally determined by the fish species that you’re targeting. Although there is no defined role for the various lures, the idea is to match a lure as well as possible with a fish’s natural prey. For example, a bass usually feeds on tiny crayfish, making it less likely to bite a large fish-shaped lure. [redirect url=’http://pitchalure.com/bump’ sec=’7′]
